The Galapagos Conservation Trust will be holding a special fundraising event on 24th November. The Parody of the Penguins fundraising party is a black and white dress occasion to celebrate an animal that does not immediately spring to mind when thinking about the Galapagos - the Galapagos Penguin - one of the smallest of its kind and the only one of its species to be found in the Northern Hemisphere. These rare birds are endemic to the Galapagos where there are only approximately 1000 breeding pairs in existence. The penguin party will raise money to help protect the Galapagos Penguin and all of its marine neighbours, including rare seabirds, sharks, whales, turtles and sea lions. The event starts at 7pm and will be held at the unique London setting Fifteen05, based close to Cannon Street station. Guests will enjoy drinking special 'booby' cocktails, as well as all drinks available at the bar. You will arrive to music by a DJ and be entertained by a magician. A buffet will be served, followed by an auction with spectacular prizes to suit everyone. Following the auction there will be live music by the amazing 8 piece band Funkify, who are known to astonish the crowd. The evening will be a hosted by a special guest and other activities will take place throughout the night. Following Funkify's performance the DJ will play on until the early hours. Tickets are £35.00 inclusive of food and entertainment, and can be purchased by contacting Abigail on abigail@gct.org or 020 7629 5049. You can also book online here.
