Discover Antarctica - Edinburgh until 23 June 2006

The UK Government is hosting the Annual Meeting of the Antarctic Treaty in Edinburgh. To celebrate this you can get a taste of Antarctica through a feast of events for all the family. 'Discover Antarctica!' is running from 12-22 June at the Edinburgh International Conference Centre, where, through a series of exhibitions of Antarctic art (including the Antarctic photographs of Herbert Ponting), science and heritage and an array of evening performances by scientists and film-makers you'll be transported to the breathtakingly beautiful and remote wilderness that is the white continent. So if you have a taste for something cooler in this warm weather, why not immerse yourself in the coldest place on earth and go along to Discover Antarctica!
